Summary/Abstract: Metaphorism, a representative way of manifestation throughout Blaga’s ontology, pervades all his creations. This idea is based on the fact that works of culture are equivalent to man’s efforts necessary to decipher the surrounding mysteries. More than a trope, metaphor has a timeless value, being the essence of every cultural creation. Also, the metaphor represents the trope with the highest density in terms of ambiguity and the creation of sensibility. The current study defines this concept and classifies it, underlining the constant connection between metaphor, style, myth in order to achieve knowledge, but also in the context of placing man in the horizon of mysteries, of their thorough examination.
