Summary/Abstract: Linguistics is the science of studying language in generally speaking. It’s not a very new discipline. The XIX-th century reveals the beginning of linguistics as an independent domain, in which” language” is placed at the level of knowledge. Thus, linguistics splits off other disciplines such as: biology, psychology, philosophy and becomes a science that has proper rules of development. Thus, we consider that it is important to bring into focus the branches of linguistics such as: phonetics and phonology, morphology, lexicology, lexicography, semantics, stylistics and to reveal the connections that are between them.
