PROVERBS AND PHRASEOLOGICAL EXPRESSIONS IN TEACHING THE ROMANIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE FOR THE MEDICAL STUDENTS

Summary/Abstract: The subject of this paper sends to the Romanian proverbs and phraseological expressions from the lexical sphere body and health. We will show the way in which they could be used in teaching the Romanian language for the foreign medical students, the teaching strategies, the types of exercises focused on the subject and adaptation of the level of study. As lexical unit of each language, they are a proof of culture heritage showing the mentality of the nation, contributing to the development of sociolinguistic competence. Thanks to their simple expression of the reality, they give the specifics of the language and enrich the vocabulary. Their occurrence in other languages will lead to simplified communication.
