Summary/Abstract: Constanţa Buzea is one of the representative voices of sixties poetry. The first volumes of poems are characterized by delicacy and sensitivity, balance, confession and melancholy, joy of eros and domestic calm. The later poems are dedicated to a rediscovery of the self, cultivating the wound, the frustration, the suffering of an outraged, vulnerable being, for whom resignation is the legitimate sign of accepting a condition of ephemerality and fragility, devoid of religious accents. A discreet presence in the landscape of contemporary Romanian literature, Constanţa Buzea is a poet who has yet to be read, known and commented on its true value. Her lyrics, with melancholy and serious vibrations, are characterized by the need to assume by confession of one’s own condition, tragic and resigned, proud and humble.
