Summary/Abstract: Wireless communications represent a technology, with a very rapid growth, that allows people to access networks and services without needing a cable connection. Here are just a few examples of the application of this technology: various devices, such as mobile phone, portable computer, digital assistant (PDA), belonging to the same user, that can interact in order to distribute documents; a user receiving e-mails on his PDA; a shop that provides information on special offers directly on the client’s PDA; drivers accessing maps or tourist information about the areas they are passing through with the help of GPS devices. Many such scenarios have become realities from a technological point of view. The mobile devices play a central role in nowadays communications. Starting from the premise that mobile technologies can play an extremely important role in project management this paper aims to identify the opinion of a department specialized in creating and implementing projects concerning the impact the adoption of these technologies could have in the performing of specific activities..
