Summary/Abstract: This article presents results of a questionnaire conducted in the Olsztyn administrative district (powiat) concerning how SME companies use receivables management and debt recovery tools. The research has confirmed that the longer a company is functioning on the market and the higher the turnover it achieves, the more likely it is to resort to more advanced forms of payment and to new receivables management instruments.
