Summary/Abstract: The definition of violence is given in the article number 19 of Convention about Children’s Rights: any kind of violence, harm , physical or mintal abuse ,any kind of abandonment, negligence, bad treatment or exploitation, even sexual abuse.” World Report on Violence and Health”, 2002 define violence like being the use in a deliberate way of physical power or of the authority, or the threatening of using this power towards a child from a person or a group of persons. This could lead to the affectation of health, survive, development or even child’s self-respect. The investigation makes a rewiew: of the risk or of the protection factors, of the consequences of this phenomenon and of the society where it could be frequently found at present in Romania. It was pointed out the dimension of this phenomenon surprised in a lot of obvious signs for the situation in our country. The statistics facts present the proportions of this alarming pfenomenon. They were analysed Romania’s progammes and actions realised in the last period by the resposible institutions. It comes out that the legislative complexity in Romania protect multiple areas of the fight against violence. This guided to the creation of many mechanisms.Unfortunately there is a large gap between the legislative and the social-economical and cultural context of nowdays Romania. The investigation contains a lot of suggestions to prevent this phenomenon with multiple results. The analyse of this phenomenon was realised from the human rights, public health and child protection points of view .
