Summary/Abstract: Measuring the quality of library services from the users' point of view provides the information needed to understand users' expectations and to plan improvements in library services. For this reason, research into measuring the quality of library services is becoming increasingly important. The aim of this study is to explore trends in the development and content of postgraduate theses on the measurement of library service quality at a global level. The study sought answers to questions about the characteristics of 51 doctoral theses, such as the distribution of theses by year, country and university, the methods used and the approaches to data analysis. The results of the study highlight opportunities for new research on this topic.
