Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the chronology of the global financial crisis and, in this framework, with its impact on investment funds (IF) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). It also discusses the impact of the financial crisis in the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the purpose of drawing appropriate conclusions, certain parts of the paper make comparison with some economies in transition countries that are in a recession and/or struggle with high debts. The paper indicates that the local rather than global factors had a more dominant influence on the IF poor results.
