Summary/Abstract: This article presents the poetic stages of Marin Sorescu, a prominent personality of the 1960s, who made a significant contribution to the revitalization of Romanian literature. Sorescu's lyric poetry is distinguished by originality and depth. In his works he approaches themes such as, absurdity of existence, time, creation. Moreover, nowadays, through nonconformity, innovative association of terms and through a unique comical way of presenting tragic situations, Sorescu's volumes of poems are truly alive and represent a real intellectual treatment for readers.
