Summary/Abstract: The paper expands upon Tracy Chevalier’s The Virgin Blue approached via Chaos Theory. Poincare’s theory provides multiple interpretative grids for literary masterpieces. Iteration, namely the process of continuously reabsorbing what has already happened, recursion, bifurcation, autocorrelation and standardization appear throughout the novel, offering a different perspective and a distinctive interpretation of the narrative as well as the characters` portrayal. Consequently, the paper stands proof to the fact that a mathematical theory may be utilized for interpreting a literary creation.
