Summary/Abstract: The royal family of Romania participated in the inauguration of the National Exhibition in 1906. The two sovereigns visited for several days the pavilions of the exhibition organized on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the reign of King Carol 1. Romanians from all over contributed to this celebration, the historical provinces, as part of a single nation, then separated from the vicissitudes of history. The presence of the most representative exhibits at the exhibition in Bucharest also demonstrated the idea of unity, anticipating the Great Union of 1918.
