Summary/Abstract: The reflections of the Fathers of the Church come to respond to objections, heresies; with their thoughts they want to better illustrate the common points with cultures and religions, but they also want to highlight the singularity, the specificity of the Christian phenomenon. Through the themes, a close relationship is established between the Old and the New Testament, between unity and diversity, the gradualness of the stages of revelation, the economy of salvation and divine pedagogy, the centrality of the person of Christ, the necessary action of the Holy Spirit, adherence to revelation that its immediate understanding. The realization arises that theological thought develops in a linear way.
