Summary/Abstract: In today's European society, the teaching of technical language is becoming more and more important. At the same time, learner groups are becoming more and more differentiated and teachers are facing many difficulties as they are supposed to teach subject-specific content in their courses although they are not experts in the subject in question. This paper undertakes to present the advantages and the problems in using technical language, but also to arouse motivation in using diverse delivery strategies in DaF classes in order to succeed in technical communication.
