Summary/Abstract: The present article outlines an innovative product related to students using information technologies during the implementationof the project “Memorial Places in My Native Town”. The extensive and multilateral preliminary preparation includes teacher’s work, organization and qualification; students’ training; preparation of the lessons. The main activity includes organization and work on projects related to the educational curriculum and realized by a computer technology in three stages (organizational, operative, productive). The usage of new educational technologies stimulates the active thinking, elicits enhanced attention and development of curiosity and thus develops the cognitive interest in Geography lessons.
