Summary/Abstract: Non-resource sector diversification not only accelerates the economic growth rate, but also increases per capita real income, and the government encourages the increase population’s economic well-being. Therefore, in the example of developing countries with oil and natural wealth, non-oil sector’s development aspects due to the income obtained from the oil sector of Azerbaijan and the funds provided from additional sources were investigated in this study. Bank loans, applied discounts will be examined as funds from additional sources. Thus, the extent to which the development in the non-oil sector and further diversification of the economy has been achieved, and direction of increasing economic development will be investigated. In this research, the articles published in prestigious journals were investigated, the influence directions of bank credit on non-oil GDP were determined in national and international practice. Based on the statistical indicators obtained from the official government websites, statistical analyses of bank loans, GDP production and workforce were made for the leading non-oil sectors. Correlation analysis was performed to determine the existence and strength of the relationship between credit investment and GDP production and employees. Based on the analysis, it has been determined that in the industry and manufacturing sector, there is a very weak relationship between credit investment and GDP, a strong inverse relationship with workforce.
