Summary/Abstract: Khorezm, who was taken under Mongolian rule by Genghis Khan's Harezm expedition, was left to his eldest son, Cuçi, in the land division. Khorezm, which is one of the meeting points of the east and the west in the Silk Road trade, preserved its importance after the Mongolian rule as well as it did before. After the death of Cuçi, under the leadership of his son, Batu Han (as White Horde dynasty), the kin of Cuçi established the Golden Horde Khanate in the geography of Deşt-i Kıpçak. Harezm, which was a part of the Golden Horde Khanate until Emir Timur's domination in 1379, transferred its political, military, economic and cultural accumulation to the geography of the Golden Horde. The administration of Khorezm had been in the hands of the Kongirats, one of the influential tribes of the Golden Horde Khanate, and the loyalty of the Kongirats to the Golden Horde continued in the process of dominance struggle of Emir Timur over Harezm. In the Golden Horde Khanate, where the steppe aristocracy played an active role, strong leaders supported the princes from the lineage and increased their influence on the throne, when the authority of the Saray on the aristocratic structure was weakened. In these processes, the two regions, where the opponents withdrew in, come to the forefont that these are Crimea and Khorezm. It is necessary to seek the (reasons of) coming into the prominence of Crimea and Khorezm in political moves in economic potential of both. Because both are important stopping points on the Silk Road. In the proportion of their economic powers, those, that is in this region, will strengthen their military power and according to their military power they will strenghten their political power as well. Khorezm region fed not only economic accumulation of Golden Horde and Saray but fed its cultural accumulation as well. The influence of Harezm culture in architecture, tile making, language and literature can be distinquishably observed in the historical works given in the Saray and its surroundings.
