Summary/Abstract: In the article, the author attempts to reconstruct the social perception of assistance provided to refugees from Ukraine in relation to selected solutions defined in the Act of 12 March 2022 on assistance to Ukrainian citizens in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of this country (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 583) and other activities related to this issue. The analysis is based on the results of a public opinion poll which was conducted from 30 April to 30 May 2022 on a nationwide sample of people aged 16-65 (N=380). Considerations are conducted in reference to the meaning of the term administrare – “to be helpful”.
