Summary/Abstract: Purpose - Despite the existence of published articles on human capital, it is known that there is a comprehensive measurement scarcity to measure human capital for individuals. In this direction, the present study aims to make a validity and reliability study by adapting the "Human Capital" scale, called HuCaps, which Dahiya and Raghuvanshi conducted (2021) in Turkish under the conditions of Turkey, with proven validity and reliability, to evaluate human capital. Design/methodology/approach – The universe of this research is composed of experts from different professions, especially those working in Tübitak and similar positions. The sample of the study is 457 people reached by convenience sampling method. In the process of adapting it to Turkish, support was received from experts in the field in terms of language, content, meaning, measurement and evaluation for the Turkish translation. In the research, by taking the structured scale adaptation studies as an example, factor analyses were performed to determine the research sub-dimensions and reveal the factor structures. Results – The original scale consists of a 3-factor structure and 20 statements. The findings show that the Turkish version of the "Human Capital Scale" is a reliable and valid scale with acceptable values. As a result of exploratory factor analysis with the help of the SPSS program, three items with more than one-factor loading were removed from the scale, and a 3-dimensional "Human capital" scale was obtained. As a result of the validity and reliability analysis has been determined that the final version of the "Human Capital" scale, which consists of three dimensions and 15 expressions, is a valid and reliable scale. Discussion - Research is essential for researchers interested in understanding human resources and the human capital of all organisations responsible for managing and maintaining their business. This rating scale will help professionals assess human capital components in all industries. The study can be done and discussed on relatively large and diverse samples.
