Summary/Abstract: Loan-words are the words that are borrowed from a language (in this case, we take into review English language) into another language (d.e. Romanian one), keeping the same graphical and phonetical shape of the word-borrowed. We try to see the manner in which these words reflect into the Romanian lexis and how much they contribute to the enrichment of our vocabulary, taking into consideration the meanings of the loan-words that are used in different contexts.
