A report regarding the plague in Moldavia (1829)

Summary/Abstract: The document we publish here contains a series of reports on the plague evolution in Moldavia sent to Iași by the county officials in 1829. The reports give us a few of the names of those involved in the eradication of the plague, the measure taken, but also the effects of the disease on the county’s inhabitants, as well as the number of those infected, those in good health and those who lost their lives. The document is important because most of these reports are lost over the time, and those kept are scattered in various present day archives.
