Summary/Abstract: The article is based on the juxtaposition of the demographic processes concerning the people resettled from the Eastern Borderlands to the Opole Silesia after 1945 and the local Silesian community. The paper examines the significance of the people resettled after World War II to the territory of the Opole Voivodship, focusing on their impact in the biological rebuilding of the Opole Silesia population as well as their spatial distribution according to the city-village division. Additionally, it concerns the factors differentiating these demographic processes among migrants and residents with the emphasis put on their gradual assimilation in 2020.
