Summary/Abstract: At the age of 16, when he shyly started his career as a journalist, Marius Mircu set out to contribute to the social change, to highlight the problems of the Romanian society, but also to leave to future generations a picture of the times he lived. He was an idealist, who fought for what he considered social correctness and cultural image, which is why at first he embraced the idealistic ideas of the romantic period of the communism. The activity of illegality, together with other members of the Communist Party, materialized, after the legalization of the party, in a sustained work in the central newspapers for the promotion of historical truths from before 1944, for the presentation of everyday realities, but also for the education of children. Opportunities to maintain thematic interests began to gradually disappear, the journalist being isolated after being expelled from the Communist Party. Our intention is to present the way in which the life and career of the journalist evolved after this moment.
