Summary/Abstract: This study examines variables and factors affecting learners’ attitudes in the western region of the highlands of Algeria toward learning French language. Data analysis allows us to identify factors that may influence these representations. Our corpus consists mainly of questionnaires providing information on the attitudes of learners in the region towards the French language and its teaching.
