In addition to the similar narrative techniques, the novels also develop a series of common themes and subjects: demystifying the universe of childhood, family and parents; the worlds in crisis. Although they have many points of interference, the novels still fall into two different thematic areas: „Kinderland” develops the theme of migration, and „The Glass Garden” the problem of identity crisis.
