Summary/Abstract: The article characterises the content pertaining to religious structures and their presentation methods in the Historical Atlas of Poland (AHP) programme. It identifies the causes and describes the circumstances of changes in the depiction of religious topics at various phases of the project. It also presents the paths of the AHP development, shaped by discussions around the role of historical cartography and socio-religious history, which influenced how religious issues were treated in the AHP programme and publishing series.
