Summary/Abstract: For a long time she was forgotten in Germany, now she is being rediscovered – which Amalie Skram definitely deserves! The most significant naturalistic author of northern Europe was named in Germany as a "Scandinavian Zolaïde" (the title "German Zolaïde" was given to Clara Viebig, 1860 –1952, but that's just a side-note here, it's not determine whether the ladies knew each other's books). The was not only due to the inability of journalists, which was already widespread at the time, to distinguish the individual Scandinavian countries from each other – Amalie Skram first described herself as a Norwegian author, then as a Danish.
