Summary/Abstract: The presented subject about Influence of Yugoslav alternative rock music on musical-cultural life at the territories of Macedonia, Serbia and Croatia since 1991 was the fifth chapter in the Ph.D. thesis of the author of this text. The title of the dissertation is Alternative rock music in Yugoslavia during 1980 – 1991 and its impact on today musical-cultural live in Macedonia, Serbia and Croatia. The fifth chapter is a secondary part of the study, covers the period after 1991 and analyse the impact of the Yugoslav alternative rock music on the present music and cultural life of Macedonia, Serbia and Croatia. This is achieved through the analysis of several topics: music scenes: local (republican), trans-local (between the republics) and virtual (internet); continuity of work of alternative bands: tracking the activities of groups selected for analysis in the time after 1991 (issue and reissue albums, concerts, new opportunities for virtual communication, issue documentaries, songs treatments, exhibitions), concert activity: presentation of a festival and an alternative group; activities of web music magazines. Our study of the influence of the Yugoslav alternative rock of the 80’s to the post 1991 at the territory of the former Yugoslavia is a combination of concrete examples and tracking events (e.g. groups, publishers, concerts) and summary treatment of those events on two levels - the first is the Internet and virtual communications, while the second refers to the continuation of musical contacts and cooperation between groups of the now former Yugoslavia. Ways of communication are very similar to those from the period before 1991: the concert of groups in other republics, publishing reviews of albums from the region, visits to concerts and music festivals through out the region and information in the media (TV, radio, web magazines), of those concerts. The influence of the Yugoslav alternative rock of the 80’s on the territories of Macedonia, Serbia and Croatia since 1991 mean consumption, production, links, network-based exchange between different locations (mostly cities Skopje, Beograd, Novi Sad, Zagreb, Rijeka) music and cultural organizations, musical and artistic groups, organizers and journalists.
