Summary/Abstract: The protection of minors has been a challenge for the Polish judiciary for years, in particular at the level of criminal policy. Almost 40 years have passed since the enactment of the act on juvenile delinquency proceedings. At that time, many transformations took place in the area of the functioning of the youngest part of the generation. The article aims to analyze the fundamental changes that emerge as a result of a comparison of the current legal status regulating the liability of minors, i.e. the Act of October 26, 1982, on proceedings in juvenile cases, with the one that is to enter into force, i.e. the Act of June 9, 2022, on supporting and rehabilitating minors.
