THE NOVEL "QUO VADIS, DOMINE?" - RECEPTION AND INTERPRETATION

Summary/Abstract: In view of the numerous discussions arising from the publication of the first volume of the novel "Quo vadis, Domine?", written by Mihai Sin, this article aims to follow the opinions and reactions with direct reference to the content and the issue addressed. The novel generates a state of revolt in the literary world by the fact that, it transmits the idea that security contributed to the salvation of the cultural identity of Romanians during communism, preparing the establishment of democracy. In these conditions, naturally, the question arises whether this first volume can be put under the sign of artistic courage or is it something else.
