Summary/Abstract: It has been observed for the Romanian language that the fundamental Christian terms belong to the sphere of influence of the Latin language, and also with the presence of terms that originate in the language of Thraco-Dacians; while the Slavic and Greek influence were manifested on the terms that refer to the church ritual elements, as well as on those words used to identify the hierarchical organization of the positions occupied within the church. Thus it is understood that all three languages had a certain influence on the religious lexicon of the Romanian language. Some of these linguistic variants showed their influence to a greater degree (as in the case of Latin, Slavic and Greek), while other influences were minimal (Hungarian). Also relevant is the fact that the christian/religious lexical units from the Romanian language which derive from the Latin language refer to the primary concepts of christian dogma, while the religious words of Slavic origin mainly refer to notions related to the church ritual, and those of Greek origin illustrate the hierarchy of positions in the Church. This article presents a list of the christian and/or religious terms that are found in the two manuscripts that compose the text Salvation of Sinners, a 17th century Romanian translation, as found in the oldest manuscripts preserved until today: ms. rom. 2517 and ms. rom. 494. For a better illustration and a clearer support of our statements, we have also decided that this list should be drawn up by separating the terms according to their language of origin.
