Summary/Abstract: The Old Testament prophecies as well as the New Testament writings clearly assert the Davidic origins of Jesus Christ Our Saviour. Into arguing this fact, from it's first centuries Christianity affirmed that this origin is due to the Davidic origins of Virgin Mary, this in turn has led to identifying her as belonging to the "Judah's/Jesse's bloodline" In the patristic tradition there are two texts which bear the mariological interpretation ( Genesis 49,9; Isaiah 11,1), assigned to it is also one apocryphal text: The Testament of the Twelve Patriarchs. Which is exclusively valuable considering it's antiquity ( 1 st century AD ). The presented article is meant to make a short introduction into the martiriological interpretation of the following passages.
