Summary/Abstract: The Turkic World, has affected the trade routes throughout the history on the one hand and has been affected by them on the other hand. The strengthening or weakening of the Turkic states is directly related to the rise and fall of the historical Silk Road. With the discovery of the sea routes to Asia by the Europeans in the 16th century, the weight of international trade shifted from the continent to the sea and thus the Silk Road lost its significance. In this respect, it is important to learn from the past, as the role of land corridors passing over the continent has increased recently. In this purpose, the Silk Road experience of the Turkic states in history will be discussed in the article.
