Summary/Abstract: The article aims at highlighting the authenticity found in Anton Holban's prose. The present research focuses on the use of publications, correspondence, periodicals. In his works, Anton Holban uses the subjective narrative in the first person, the psychological analysis, in which one can notice the inner turmoil of the main character and who identifies with the author himself, thus using the autobiography. The torments of love, jealousy or even death are dominant elements in his texts, and the music, especially that of Beethoven's, is the one that amplifies his suffering and, at the same time, the one with which he identifies himself. Authenticity leads to the regeneration of literature in the interwar period, the works in which autobiographical elements are found being primordial.
