Summary/Abstract: Haig Acterian's poems represent a crystallized form of the permanent search of the Self. From the religious coordinate to the anchorage in a lyrical architecture that mixes pre-Christian elements (mother earth) with the Christian ones (the bread as a symbol of Christ or the light-darkness opposition), his poems highlight an encryption of poetic language and an obsessive search for an identity that transcends the religious sphere and approaches an ontological obsession with the need to self-define.
