Summary/Abstract: Romanian lexis is into a permanent changing and linguistic movement due to the lexical borrowings that come into the Romanian vocabulary. Mostly, these loan-words constitute an advantage for our vocabulary as long as we don’t have these words into lexis. Sometimes, these lexical words are into our lexis and, in spite of all, we use loan-words, perhaps, because we like to be in fashion or because we love to express our thoughts, opinions concerning certain events, facts, circumstances etc. Anyway, are these loan-words so important for our vocabulary that we can’t communicate without using them or are they just used from snobbery?
