Summary/Abstract: The article presents linguistic paticularities of the colloquial, informal, spontaneous Italian language and addresses mainly to the Romanian teachers dealing with the study of the Italian language, also offering a corresponding wide bibliography on the subject. The paper reviews the lexical and morphosyntactical characteristics of the colloquial language linguistic variety, while insisting on some recurrent grammar mistakes: pronoun and adverb redundancy, marked syntactical structures etc. We also offer some ideas as to teaching Italian by using didactic games, applicable to all age groups, as well as teaching texts, chosen from among the most recent songs from Sanremo 2020 music festival.
