Summary/Abstract: In this article we aim to present the existing information technology resource, the eCULTFOOD platform, a complex database that includes the results of field research on food practices and traditions in Bacău County, Romania. Also, we present a projection of the development of the platform, both in terms of the increase of functionalities and of the extension of the types of contents. The new eCULTFOOD technology would take the form of a database containing the results of field research, archives and libraries on food practices and traditions in Moldavia. The platform will make accessible the discourse on food, preparation techniques and food behaviors that the Moldavian communities assume as an integral part of their cultural heritage, giving them identity and continuity, in the context of the accelerated dynamics of society.
