The Military Conflict in Ukraine: Towards a New World Order or Russia's Struggle for Survival

Summary/Abstract: This article centers on the effect of the Ukrainian conflict on the global order and Russia's fate. Is it conceivable that the conflict would set off a chain reaction in other parts of the world, leading to the collapse of the "American world" and the decline of the West, or will the Russian Federation's dilemmas intensify and make its destiny uncertain? Both possibilities hold potential for development, but only one is feasible. Russia's actions in Ukraine weaken basic principles of modern international relations, which would either be supported or a dangerous example that would disrupt the global security could be set. These issues are of extreme importance for Bulgaria.
