Summary/Abstract: Theoretically, human rights cover all people regardless of gender, religion, language, race, or colour. Human rights are a right that we are born with. Human rights are valid for everyone, regardless of time and place. These rights should be protected by the state. Because the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, published by the United Nations in 1948, covers every individual. Therefore, women's rights are also an integral part of human rights., women's rights are an integral part of human rights. However, the actions of some countries towards women's rights are incompatible with the rules expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This is related to the culture, political structure, use of force, and economic conditions of the country. In this study, violence against women in Iraq will be examined in terms of Iraqi criminal law.
