PECULIARITIES OF HEALTH EDUCATION OF CHILDREN WITH OVERWEIGHT AND OBESITY

Summary/Abstract: The major factors for practical realization of health education are family and school. Their activities includepurposeful and persistent influence aimed at children’s obtaining knowledge, forming attitudes and practical skills fortheir health prevention. One of the most important problems of the modern health education is related to maintainingchildren’s healthy weight. The aim of the present study is to establish whether there are differences between theeducation influence of the families with children suffering from overweight and obesity and of the families with childrenwith normal weight. The results show significant differences connected with nutrition and motor activity of the children.
