Summary/Abstract: Reoccupation of Kosova in 1918 and its enclosure in the new state called Serb-Croat-Slovene Kingdom governed by the Serbian dynasty, for Albanians meant renewing of violence and repression of the years 1912-1915. The Albanian people subjugated to a genocide repression, in order to pacify them and to carry on serbisation of Kosova. The Albanian population of Vushtrri and its region as well, found itself in such conditions. As an administrative-territorial unit Vushtrri with its region was a district within county (district) of Zveçan and it had 11 communes. The population of this district was over 80% Albanian, but it was left without elementary rights. The occupying regime applied institutionally and no institutionally organised repression. This violation in the name of disarmament and prosecution of kachak warriors, combined with “the agrarian reform” which was aiming at dispossession of Albanians, had serious consequences for the population of this region (district). One great number of villages were deserted (relinquished) fully, some were burned completely and some others partly. Many Albanian citizens of all ages and genders, especially men were executed without any trials and any charges or facts. The population of this district responded against such repression with an active and passive resistance. The resistance was reflected (consisted) in neglecting of the regime, but also as a kachak resistance for freedom. In this resistance were distinguished: Azem Bejta, Shote Galica, Selim Drevia, Mehmet Konjuhi, Bel Popova, brothers Bajçinovci and Danaroci (Ramadan Maliqi from Broboniqi).
