Summary/Abstract: For many of the Romanian linguists, semi-auxiliary verbs are a controversy based on these two plans: semantic and grammatical. The article discusses the characteristics of modal verbs that individualize their status according to the context of their appearance. The information is carried out on a simple but comprehensive structure, aiming at the theoretical landmarks useful for understanding the constructions made up of V operator + V support. In this respect, we have decided to address some of the defining aspects of this category, hoping that our observations will clarify the controversy.
