Summary/Abstract: The paper reflects the interdisciplinary character of literary imagology. The working methods of literary imagology are evaluated through the grid of several concepts, such as interdisciplinarity, transdisciplinarity, intradisciplinarity, multidisciplinarity and pluridisciplinarity.Literary Imagology collaborates with the other humanities, due to the fact that the majority study in one way or another the image of the Other, which is, moreover, the object’s study of literary imagology. From these considerations, the imagology is in an interdisciplinary field with: comparative literature, history of mentalities, social psychology, ethnopsychology, philosophy, anthropology, sociology and so on. Their common concerns are the subject of this article.
