Summary/Abstract: The history of the Neudorf village, starts from the 13th century, when the first Saxons were brought to the area. According to local oral sources, the first settlements were somewhere upstream than the current settlement, a place called the Stone Fountain. There were the first animal breeders in the village. The basic occupation of the inhabitants was over time the raising of animals and the cultivation of the land, activities from which no significant performances were obtained. In the 1930s-1940s, in the vicinity of the village were discovered huge deposits of natural gas, discovery that led tothe drilling of wells and the exploitation of huge deposits of gas, which continues today.
