Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the technologies used by the radio stations in the context of the development of the Internet and the broadcast technologies. Also, the research will present and analyze the technologies used by radio stations today, how the process of developing the radio on the Internet and its perspectives took place. We will also refer to new technologies, the latest innovations in the field and most importantly, the transformations that the Internet has generated among radio stations. The analysis refers to online radio applications but also to the development that the radio has undergone with the development of these applications. The paper also presents the latest technologies used by car manufacturers that have the facility to spread the radio online. In this paper we have drawn a clear differentiation between the radios that broadcast on the internet versus the online radio services that can be listened to through applications, which can be adapted according to each user and the content services on demand.
