Summary/Abstract: The suicide theme in Romanian literature represents a less explored field. That suicide has not exhausted its significant fields, being a permanent topic, although the first theoretical concerns were shaping since Antiquity, is proven by the relatively large number of books published on this topic, including in the Romanian research area. Opinions on suicide were influenced by the fundamental topics of existence, such as religion, honour and the meaning of life. Suicide has always been a moment that had a different meaning for philosophers, physicians, sociologists, psychologists, but also for the various religions or even for the ordinary people.
