Summary/Abstract: The place which the writer has or should have in the community he belongs to is an everlasting theme. In our study, we will deal with what was specifically written in the old Romanian newspapers and magazines about the writer, about his role, but also about the art of writing. For this reason, we will use 12 articles, which were published, between 1921 and 1976, in newspapers like Universul literar, Gândirea, Scânteia, etc. Our research has as a starting point the idea, still trusted by some Romanians, that writing is an easy job.
