Summary/Abstract: This research is an excursion into the fairy tales of Marta Cozmin, in which discreet charm of invention and fantasy intertwine to create existentialist pictures that are both ingenuous and tormented with regard to childhood and adolescence. The research analyzes the curative virtues of children’s literature as they are reflected in the literary creation of Marta Cozmin. Her writings are about how to nurse and raise children and youngsters with fairy tales about common and not so common needs, specific for spirit or mind: the wanderlust, the need of affection, of feeling useful for the loved ones, the need to acquire freedom through playing, dreaming and travelling, the need of spiritual brotherhood and miracle. The complications of the growing up process are shown with an artistic emotion specific to the evocation of the juvenile age in the world wide family medium. The quality of the literary invention in the children and youth literature created by Marta Cozmin is given by the particular way in which the so-called bibliotherapeutic or prophylactic function of this fictional domain succeeds to evoke in the writer’s fairy tales the perception of the miracle of reality in a children’s soul. The different regime of his fabular treatments illustrates diverse usages of the existentialist prophylactic function or even of the therapeutic function of the literary text. The leitmotif of the stories that nurse and raise children is the power of love, meant to heal even hopeless scattered minds. The title of the paper is inspired by some creations in which the writer reveals obvious thematic preferences that suggest the reflexive fever in direct connection with those ideas andfeelings, that the characters owe their understanding of this world.
