Summary/Abstract: The work presents an analysis of the process of developing the collections of the Scientific Library of the “Alecu Russo” State University. The main ways of developing collections are highlighted, the main sources of acquisition are analyzed. The way the development of collections is realized, depending on the prestige, the value of the collections, the number of users.
